Ginger Gleeson

Ginger Gleeson is one of the Great Southern’s most exciting young middle-distance athletes, specialising in the 400m and 800m for both Albany Little Athletics Club and Albany Athletics Club.

Ginger has represented Western Australia on numerous occasions, including at the 2023 Australian Little Athletics Championships in Melbourne, the 2024 Australian Cross Country Championships in Tasmania, and the 2024 Australian All Schools Athletics Championships in Brisbane. She is the current WA State All Schools U15 800m champion and holds WA Country records in the U15 400m, 800m, and 1500m.

In 2026, Ginger’s athletics career reached another level when she claimed two national titles and earned selection in the Australian Oceania Team to compete at the Oceania Championships in Darwin — a huge achievement for the talented Albany athlete.

Known for her determination, composure, and strong work ethic, Ginger continues to build towards her long-term goal of representing Australia at the World Under 20 Championships and beyond.
