Ginger Gleeson

TRACK & FIELD

Ginger is a track and filed athlete specialising in the 400m, 400m Hurdles and 800m. She represents Albany Athletics Club during the WA season.

Ginger had a stand-out 2025-26 season. At the regional level, she broke four WA Country Records (400m, 800m, 1500m and 300m Hurdles). At the state level, she collected three WA State Junior Championships titles in the 400m, 400m Hurdles, and 800m. And at the national level, she gained three national titles – firstly, at the Australian All Schools in the 800m; and then at the Australian Championships in the 400m and 400m Hurdles. 

In May 2026, Ginger represented Australia for the first time at the Oceania Athletics Championships. Competing up an age group in the U18 400m Hurdles, she collected a silver medal. 

Looking ahead, Ginger hopes to achieve selection onto the 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games and 2028 World Junior Athletics Championships teams.
