Makiah Suttie

Makiah Suttie is a talented young sprinter and jumper from Denmark, WA, competing across both athletics and surf lifesaving.
In athletics, Makiah is the current U15 WA State Champion in the 60m sprint. At the 2026 Junior Athletics State Championships, she won silver in the 100m and bronze in long jump, further demonstrating her speed and versatility. She was also selected to represent Western Australia at Athletics Nationals, where she progressed to the 200m final against the country’s top junior athletes. She also represented WA in the U16 100m and 200m relays where they finished 4th in both.
Makiah has also achieved strong success in surf lifesaving, claiming two gold medals at the 2026 State Championships in the U14 division, winning both flags and sprints. In 2025, on the back of an incredible year, she was awarded the all over u13 State Surf Life Saving Champion.
Competing and performing at a high level across two speed-based sports highlights Makiah’s athletic ability, competitiveness, and strong potential for continued development.
