Zachary Riddell

Swimming

Zach Riddell is a dedicated swimmer representing Albany Swim Club. He has competed in Swimming WA Short Course and Long Course events, achieving state qualifying times in the 100m and 200m Backstroke and consistently placing within the top 7 in his age group. Zach continues to push for personal bests, with a key goal of breaking the 30-second mark in the 50m Freestyle.

Beyond the pool, Zach is an accomplished open water swimmer, having competed in events such as the Albany Harbour Swim and the Albany Bicentennial Swim. He thrives on the challenges of open water racing and is focused on further success in upcoming seasons.

Zach is also an active member of Albany Surf Life Saving Club, where he has earned his Surf Rescue Certificate. He regularly patrols Middleton Beach and contributes to water safety on Sunday mornings, assisting with Woodside Nippers. His involvement reflects a strong commitment to both his sport and the safety of his local community.

Tier 2 Scholarship
